Important Update
Effective April 1, 2026, the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office will transition to an online software system for processing all permits, plan reviews, and inspections. First-time users must register by clicking the blue “Register” button located at the top right corner of the webpage. A valid email address is required to complete registration.FBCFMOpermits.com
Effective August 1st, 2025, the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal's Office has instituted a new process for service providers who inspect and test fire protection systems. All compliant and non-compliant fire inspection test reports are required to be sent to the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal's Office electronically by your respective organization via The Compliance Engine's online system at www.thecomplianceengine.com. Notification letters will be sent out accordingly. Below is a sample notification letter along with a link to additional information.

Effective October 1st, 2023, unincorporated Fort Bend County will utilize the 2021 International Fire Code and Fort Bend County local amendments to the Fire Code [PDF].

Our clerks will then receive and process your plans submittal and/or fee payment. You will then receive an e-mail with a receipt of your submission.
