in honor of the Fort Bend County Fair
As a reminder, Fort Bend County Employee Information Manual Policy 507 requires full-time, non-exempt employees to work, or be on an excused and paid day off, both the workday before and the workday following the holiday in order to receive holiday pay. Also note that paid days off, such as paid holidays, do not count as hours worked for the purpose of overtime or compensatory time calculation. (Note: Law enforcement and emergency services agencies remain on duty. Verify your holiday status with your supervisor.)
Fort Bend County Fair
The Fort Bend County Fair will be honoring their mission of "Benefiting Youth, Promoting Agriculture, and Supporting Education" by holding a modified livestock show and auctions as well as the queen's scholarship contest pending approval of the COVID-19 mitigation plan. It is their intention that Grand Champions will be named, Scholarships will be awarded, and a Fair Queen will be crowned!
