The decision to utilize these stops within the Texas Medical Center was based upon ridership numbers from the previous (2008 / 2009) Fort Bend County Express commuter service. Other stops were utilized during the previous (2008 / 2009) Fort Bend County Express commuter service and ridership numbers at these stops were evaluated.

Fort Bend County Public Transportation will continually assess the choice of stops within the Texas Medical Center. If demand for additional or alternative stops is determined to be high, then stops could be added or removed in the future. Any changes to the service will be announced in advance. Public input is always appreciated.

The bus can not deviate from the scheduled route or scheduled stop times without authorization from a supervisor in the dispatch office. Other routes, such as Highway 90A, could be utilized as an alternative if temporary traffic issues exist. Changes in the route must be approved by a supervisor in the dispatch office.

Yes, a reverse commute service is available with the Fort Bend County Express / Texas Medical Center commuter service. However, the reverse commute service is only accessible at certain times of the schedule.

Use of the service and funding will be the primary factors considered for continued service. Fort Bend County Public Transportation has secured funding for the Fort Bend County Express / Texas Medical Center commuter service for three (3) years. Continued funding during this period is based on ridership. Additional funding is being pursued to continue beyond the three (3) year period.
Yes, certain trips in the morning and afternoon require a transfer at the Sugar Land Park and Ride lots for access to the SH 36 Park and Ride lot. No additional fare is charged for the shuttle transfer.
The Fort Bend County Demand Response curb-to-curb service no longer provides direct access to the Texas Medical Center. Rides can be scheduled with the Demand Response service to provide transfers to the Fort Bend County Express / Texas Medical Center commuter service.
Additional park and ride lots in other areas of Fort Bend County are being assessed. Currently under consideration are facilities near the Westpark Toll Road corridor, the Highway 90A corridor, and the Fort Bend Toll Road corridor.
