Thursday, October 26th from 11:30 A.M. - 1:30 P.M. for the District Clerk's 11th Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon Closure.

Elections Administration Office Closed July 30 through August 1, 2018

To better serve the voters of Fort Bend County, the Office of Elections Administration will be closed Monday July 30, 2018 through Wednesday August 1, 2018 to allow departmental staff to attend Election Law training conducted by the Texas Secretary of State.

The office will resume normal hours on Thursday, August 2, 2018.

Passport Fair 2018

The Passport Fair is Saturday from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm on November 3.

Our office is unable to provide legal advice, including the specific steps required for your case. However, we recommend visiting the Court's website for their comprehensive case checklist, which will guide you in ensuring that all necessary requirements are fulfilled for the finalization of your case.

In order to have a party served you will need to complete a Request for Process Form located at  Forms Library and submit it to the District Clerk’s Office. The cost to prepare service papers to a party is $8.00. If you are requesting to have it served via a Fort Bend Constable, the cost is $88.00.

(Please note that the Fort Bend County Constable’s Office is only authorized to serve a party within the Fort Bend County jurisdiction).

The Fort Bend County District Clerk’s Office does not set hearings; please contact the court that has jurisdiction of your case.

To obtain a copy of your case, please complete and submit a copy request form at:  Forms Library along with the applicable copy fees below.

Passport Fair

Beverley McGrew Walker, Fort Bend County District Clerk, is hosting a special Passport Fair BY APPOINTMENT ONLY as a community service and in an effort to make it easier and more convenient to apply for a U.S. passport.

Timings: 8:00 am - 12:00 noon
 
Appointments are being accepted for the Passport Fair 
 
(Limited Walk-ins will be accepted at this passport fair).

NO CASH OR CHECK PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE EXECUTION FEE AT THE PASSPORT FAIR. 
 
Note: *All applicants must appear in person (including minors). Minors under the age of 16 must appear with both parents. If one parent is not available, a DS-3053 form or a notarized authorization letter from the absent parent and a copy of his/her identification (front and back) is required.
