Requirements
All couples must present the following items on their wedding day:
- Valid identification - see Acceptable Forms of ID [PDF]
- A valid marriage license
You may obtain a marriage licenses through the Fort Bend County Clerk, located at 301 Jackson St, Richmond, Texas 77469. Questions regarding marriage licenses should be directed to the Fort Bend County Clerk’s Office at (281) 341-8685. You can find more information here:

After couples have obtained their license, they may then schedule an appointment for their Wedding Ceremony with Judge KP George.
- Courthouse weddings during office hours $200.00
- Courthouse weddings outside office hours $400.00
- Non-Courthouse weddings in Fort Bend County $400.00
- Non-Courthouse weddings outside Fort Bend County $500.00
Payments must be made in cash.
General Information
- Official witnesses are not required. However, friends and family are welcome.
- We ask for your understanding that the wedding is occurring in a busy office atmosphere and to please respect that you are entering a working office.
- You must marry within 90 days of the date that you purchased your marriage license.
- You can purchase your license in any county in the state of Texas and get married in any county in the state of Texas.
- After your wedding ceremony, it is your responsibility to file your marriage license with the appropriate County Clerk.
- Bilingual (Spanish) ceremonies are available upon request.

Please be advised that wedding funds are donated to local non-profits as part of Judge George's vision to move Fort Bend Forward.
