Professional Services Registry
Fort Bend County Commissioner Court approved the Resolution and Order Adopting Policy and Procedure for the Selection of Architectural, Engineering, and Surveying Services on June 27, 2023. This policy applies to all departments within Fort Bend County including Engineering, Drainage District, Road & Bridge, Facilities, and Parks.
The policy can be downloaded here [PDF] and states that all firms interested in providing Professional Services to Fort Bend County must be registered. The Professional Services Procurement Act under Chapter 2254 of the Texas Government Code defines professional services as architectural, engineering, and land surveying services. The following information must be provided to register professional services firms:
- Certificate of firm registration with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors OR Texas Board of Architectural Examiners as required by Texas statutes AND
- Completed Standard Form 330 Part I and Part II [PDF] including no more than ten (10) projects completed within the past ten (10) years, preferably within Fort Bend County AND
- Completed Profesional Services Registry - Company Contact Information and Disciplines [XLSX] documenting the firms contact information and relevant disciplines

The County Engineer, upon review and assessment of the documents will maintain a list of qualified firms which will be eligible for future County projects. Registration is required to be considered for professional services contracts however registration does not guarantee that future work will be awarded to the firm.
