Represents defendants with mental illness; cases with both felonies, and misdemeanor  involving mental health.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., M-F

Offers self-help services at all 10 county libraries, including reference materials and specific legal resources; access to www.TexasLawHelp.org and other sources of legal information; no legal advice offered (attorney(s) not on premises).

Provides the community with education, training, and affordable alternative dispute resolution services; varied income requirement criteria.

Provides legal advocacy, particularly with obtaining protective orders and referrals to free and sliding scale legal assistance, for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Provides counsel and advice on wills and estate, property preservation and foreclosures for low-income Texans.

Handles disability-related issues, including access and discrimination.

Handles a wide range of immigration matters including, but not limited to, family-based visa petitions, citizenship application, asylum proceedings, adjustment of status for refugees and asylees and Cubans, legal assistance to immigrant crime victims (VAWA and "U" & "T" Visas)  and representation of unaccompanied minor.

Provides civil legal assistance for low-income Vietnamese Texans in the areas of domestic violence, human trafficking, family law, immigration, landlord-tenant, and wills.

Provides legal services on a pro bono and sliding scale basis to senior citizens residing in and around Harris County.
