Our office is unable to provide legal advice, including the specific steps required for your case. However, we recommend visiting the Court's website for their comprehensive case checklist, which will guide you in ensuring that all necessary requirements are fulfilled for the finalization of your case.

In order to have a party served you will need to complete a Request for Process Form located at  Forms Library and submit it to the District Clerk’s Office. The cost to prepare service papers to a party is $8.00. If you are requesting to have it served via a Fort Bend Constable, the cost is $88.00.

(Please note that the Fort Bend County Constable’s Office is only authorized to serve a party within the Fort Bend County jurisdiction).

The Fort Bend County District Clerk’s Office does not set hearings; please contact the court that has jurisdiction of your case.

To obtain a copy of your case, please complete and submit a copy request form at:  Forms Library along with the applicable copy fees below.
  • ELECTRONIC CERTIFIED COPIES: $5.00 Certificate and Seal + $1.00 per page up to 10 pages + $0.10 for each additional page (per document)
  • ELECTRONIC NON-CERTIFIED COPIES: $1.00 per page up to 10 pages + $0.10 for each additional page (per document)
  • PAPER CERTIFIED COPIES: $5.00 Certificate and Seal + $1.00 per page (per document)
  • PAPER NON-CERTIFIED COPIES: $1.00 per page (per document)
  • EXEMPLIFIED COPY: $5.00 Certificate and Seal + $1.00 per page (per document)

If this is your first missed jury date, please contact our office, and we will reschedule you over the phone. If this is your second missed jury date, rescheduling will require approval from the Judge. You will need to send an email or letter to the District Clerk’s Office at the following address:

If approved by the Judge, our office will reschedule you and contact you with a rescheduled date.

The juror will report to the location that is listed on the jury summons under report information. If the juror does not have his/her summons, you will need to contact the District Clerk’s office at 281-344-3900 and we will provide you with the location where you need to report.
