Criminal Investigations Division

Captain Rodney GlendeningCaptain Rodney Glendening is the Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division for the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. The Criminal Investigation Division consist of Units devoted to the investigation of various crimes inclusive of Robbery & Homicide, Fraud, Auto Theft, Special Crimes, Family Violence, Misdemeanor, Burglary & Theft, Crime Analysis and Identification. These units are responsible for the investigation of cases, identifying suspects and the collection, processing and storage of evidence. All Units within the Division work together for the purpose of preparing cases for prosecution by the District Attorney’s Office.

Captain Glendening is a dedicated law enforcement professional with over 34 years of service devoted to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. Captain Glendening began his tenure with the Department in the Detention Bureau and has also served in the Criminal Investigative Division, Patrol Division and the Narcotics Task Force.

Captain Glendening is a graduate of the Drug Enforcement Agency’s Drug Unit Commanders Academy (DUCA- Class 58) located in Quantico, Virginia and holds certifications as a Master Peace Officer and Instructor with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
